Webinar recording: T Level progression and employer impact
This webinar was delivered on 6 August 2025.
In this 1 hour online session, we showcased real-life stories of students’ progress after T Levels and illustrated how employers continue to benefit from hosting industry placements in the longer term.
It focused on each of the four main progression routes:
Skilled employment – T Level students entering the job market give employers a pre-vetted pipeline of candidates with relevant skills who can be quickly hired when positions open, with the added benefit that they already understand the organisation’s culture, processes and expectations
Apprenticeships – employers who continue to develop their T Level graduates as higher apprentices gain people who can quickly learn more advanced skills, use cutting-edge techniques and contribute fresh thinking to their teams
University – when T Level students choose to go on to higher education, placement hosts benefit from keeping up their connection to future graduates who already understand the organisation and can bring increased capabilities, insight and innovation to the workforce
Internships, volunteering and other pre-employment options – employers can offer short-term or project-based roles to students who may not have made up their mind about a career, while at the same time continuing to develop capabilities in potential future employees
