This webinar was delivered on 8 May 2025.

An industry placement is an extended period of structured time that a student spends in the workplace, developing technical and soft skills relevant to the sector.  They can vary in length but must last for a minimum of 45 days, allowing students to make a meaningful contribution to your organisation.

Many employers already offer industry placements.

In this 1 hour online session, we gave an overview of how large employers:

  • Build sustainable programmes delivering high-quality industry placements across the organisation
  • Work with multiple providers including colleges and schools in different areas of the country
  • Integrate T Levels into their early careers plans alongside work experience, apprenticeships and graduate schemes
  • Create progression routes for T Level students into jobs and apprenticeships, including degree apprenticeships
  • Support students as they progress through these pathways and realise their aspirations.
