Webinar recording: Building Sustainable T Level Placement Programmes – What are the issues for large employers and how can they be tackled
This webinar was delivered on 21 February 2024.
An industry placement is an extended period of structured time that a student spends in the workplace, developing technical and soft skills relevant to the sector. They can vary in length but must last for a minimum of 45 days, allowing students to make a meaningful contribution to your organisation.
Many employers already offer industry placements.
In this 1.5 hour online session, we gave an overview of how large employers can:
- Build sustainable programmes delivering high-quality industry placements across the organisation
- Work with multiple providers including colleges and schools in different areas of the country
- Integrate T Levels into their early careers plans alongside work experience, apprenticeships and graduate schemes
- Create progression routes for T Level students into jobs and apprenticeships, including degree apprenticeships
- Support students as they progress through these pathways and realise their aspirations.
