Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:
- working within the engineering and manufacturing sectors
- essential mathematics for engineering and manufacturing
- materials and their properties
- business, commercial and financial awareness
They will also complete at least one of the following modules of occupation-specific content:
- mechanical engineering
- electrical and electronic engineering
- control and instrumentation engineering
- structural engineering

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:
